Definición de yacimientos no convencionales. Para los efectos de la presente Sección se entenderá por yacimiento no convencional la formación rocosa con baja permeabilidad primaria a la que se le debe realizar estimulación para mejorar las condiciones de movilidad y recobro de hidrocarburos.

Parágrafo

Los yacimientos no convencionales incluyen gas y petróleo en arenas y carbonatos apretados, gas metano asociado a mantos de carbón (CBM), gas y petróleo de lutitas (shale), hidratos de metano y arenas bituminosas. (Decreto 3004 de 2013, artículo 1°)
