Art. 2.° Si el informe de la comision resultare enteramente favorable, i apareciere de él que en realidad el señor Díaz ha hecho descubrimientos importantes en todos los ramos espresados, i de segura aplicación en tales ramos, obtenidos aquellos trabajos por el Gobierno, el Poder Ejecutivo dará en compensación al señor Díaz la suma de diez mil pesos ($ 10,000) en dinero, i el número de hectaras de tierras baldías en que el Gobierno convenga con el agraviado, de los que la Nación tiene en el Territorio, con tal que no esceda de cincuenta mil (50,000) hectaras.
