Se podrá otorgar licencias de exploración sobre las islas comprendidas en el cauce de las corrientes de agua para realizar los trabajos respectivos en conjunto con el lecho de las mismas o sus márgenes. Para ese mismo fin también se podrán otorgar licencias separadas.
