Corresponde a la Auditoría General de la República ejercer la vigilancia y el control de la gestión fiscal de la Contraloría General de la República y de las contralorías departamentales, distritales, municipales, sin excepción alguna, y de los fondos de bienestar social de todas las contralorías, en los términos que establecen la Constitución y la ley.
