Art. 5° La Oficina de Longitudes dependerá, en lo militar, del Ministerio de Guerra, y en lo científico, queda adscrita al Ministerio de Instrucción Pública. En consecuencia, estos Ministerios dictarán, respectivamente, y de acuerdo, las resoluciones necesarias para la puntual ejecución de este Decreto y para el desarrollo de la Oficina.

Parágrafo

Todos los instrumentos y demás aparatos de observación que fueron empleados por las Comisiones de límites con Venezuela, pasarán al servicio de la Oficina dé Longitudes; esto se refiere a los que son de propiedad del Gobierno.
