Por cuenta del Fisco Nacional y en el sitio de Barranquilla, cercano al puente que se construya sobre el río Magdalena, cuya ubicación determine la Alcaldía de dicha ciudad, se levantará un monumento en honor del ilustre colombiano desaparecido, con la siguiente leyenda: "El Congreso de Colombia al doctor Alberto Pumarejo", y a continuación el número y la fecha de la presente ley.
