El Patrullero de Policía podrá solicitar su retiro del servicio activo de la Policía Nacional en cualquier tiempo. El Director General de la Policía Nacional podrá acceder o no a la solicitud de retiro teniendo en consideración razones de seguridad o necesidades especiales del servicio.
