Art. 8.° Créase el Departamento del Atlántico, formado por las Provincias de Sabanalarga y Barranquilla del Departamento de Bolívar, con los límites que actualmente tienen.
Parágrafo
La capital de este Departamento será la ciudad de Barranquilla.
