EI Comandante del buque o quien lo reemplace, es 1a autoridad superior del servicio .radio-eléctrico durante la navegación, y tanto él como otras personas de a bordo que puedan tener conocimiento del texto simplemente de la existencia de los radiotelegramas y de cualquier otro informe obtenido por medio del servicio radio-eléctrico están sometidos a la obligación de guardar el secreto de la correspondencia.
