En la Facultad de Derecho de la Ciudad Universitaria, en el patio sur, se erigirá una estatua del doctor Abadía Méndez, y en el pedestal se grabara la siguiente inscripción:

"El Congreso de Colombia de 1948 al doctor Miguel Abadía Méndez, quien como Presidente de la República dio la más noble y severa lección de democracia, resignado el Poder en manos de su adversario político".
