Comprobada la inexactitud de anotación anterior, el Servicio Nacional de Inscripción asignara la parte complementaria de la Identificación, de lo cual dará aviso oportuno a la Registraduria Nacional del Estado Civil, como lo hará también en el caso de que la persone reseñar aparezca previamente inscrito, dejando constancia de esta circunstancia.
