º ELECCION. En cada Intendencia y Comisaría se elegirán popularmente para un período de dos años, no menos de nueve ni más de quince miembros, según lo determine el Consejo Nacional Electoral, atendida la población estimada para el año inmediatamente anterior al de la correspondiente elección por el Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE). La elección tendrá lugar el mismo día en que se eligen diputados a las Asambleas Departamentales.
