° Cuando las providencias autorizadas en el aparte c) del artículo anterior no fueren dictadas oportunamente por el jefe de servicio de giros, este se hará responsable de las sumas demoradas o perdidas. Dicha sanción será aplicada por el Ministerio de Correos y Telégrafos en vista del denuncio que sobre el particular deba darle al Contralor General.
