Los Jefes titulares de las Misiones Diplomáticas deberán presentar renuncia a sus cargos, mediante comunicación escrita, al concluir el período constitucional del Presidente de la República, bajo cuyo Gobierno hayan desempeñado su Misión. La renuncia de los Embajadores inscritos en la Carrera Diplomática y Consular no afectará su situación dentro de la misma.
