Los profesionales en medicina que formulen las drogas y medicamentos a que se refiere el artículo 26, a pacientes considerados como fármaco dependientes, tienen la obligación de informar de ello a los servicios seccionales de salud, los cuales deberán transmitir la información al Fondo Rotatorio de Estupefacientes del Ministerio de Salud, que deberá llevar un Registro Nacional de Fármaco dependientes. Lo dispuesto en este artículo se ajustará a la reglamentación que expida el Ministerio de Salud, previo concepto del Tribunal de Ética Médica y la Sociedad Colombiana de Psiquiatría.
