Son únicos impedimentos para conocer en estos juicios:

Haber tenido parte en los hechos sobre que versare la acusación;

Tener interés personal y directo en el acto materia de la acusación;

Tener parentesco, dentro del cuarto grado civil de consanguinidad o segundo de afinidad, con el acusador o con el que haya hecho o promovido la denuncia ante la Cámara de Representantes;

Haber declarado como testigo en el mismo negocio o en favor o en contra del acusado, y

Haber votado en la Cámara de Representantes en favor o en contra de la acusación.
