La Nación, por intermedio del Ministerio de Obras Públicas continuará a la mayor brevedad la construcción del muelle de Puerto Wilches, prolongándolo hacia el norte de la población en una longitud necesaria como para defender el poblado contra las avenidas del río Magdalena. Tal prolongación, en todo caso, no será menor de quinientos (500) metros, y puede adoptarse para la obra el sistema de estacada de madera con terraplen de tierra, a juicio del Ministerio de Obras Públicas.
