ARTICULO 6 º. AUTORIDADES AMBIENTALES COMPETENTES. Son autoridades competentes para el otorgamiento de Licencia Ambiental, conforme a la ley y al presente Decreto

El Ministerio del Medio Ambiente;

Las Corporaciones Autónomas Regionales;

Los Municipios, Distritos y Areas Metropolitanas cuya población urbana sea superior a un millón de habitantes, y

Las entidades territoriales delegatarias de las Corporaciones Autónomas Regionales.

Parágrafo

A partir de la expedición del presente Decreto, las Corporaciones Autónomas Regionales existentes a la expedición de la Ley 99 de 1993, asumen las competencias y funciones establecidas para la expedición de Licencias Ambientales.
