Objeto. La presente ley tiene por objeto disponer instrumentos para la trazabilidad de la cadena de ganado que garanticen una cadena productiva de ganado sostenible y libre de deforestación, a partir de la interoperabilidad gradual de los sistemas de trazabilidad con los que cuenta el sector de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural, el Sistema de Monitoreo de Bosques y Carbono con que cuenta el Sector de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible, el Catastro Multipropósito, el Sistema Nacional Catastral y el Registro de la propiedad inmueble.
