Art. 2°. La exploración preliminar de que trata el artículo anterior tiene por objeto ilustrar al Gobierno a cerca de las riquezas de los principales yacimientos de metales descubiertos en el Departamento del Tolima y dar una idea aproximada de su importancia y extensión, con el fin de hacer de ellos el estudio de los puntos principales a que debe contraerse el reconocimiento formal de los valiosos distritos mineros de toda la República.
