Art. 185. El Gobierno confiere directamente las cuarenta becas creadas por la Ley 89 de 1888. El individuo que solicite alguna de estas becas debe comprobar ante el Ministerio de Instrucción Pública, con documentos fehacientes, lo siguiente: 1º Su edad; 2º Los estudios que haya hecho; 3º Su buena conducta; 4º Que no padece enfermedad contagiosa ni crónica; 5º Que es apto para los estudios; 6º Que carece de recursos para costear su educación
