Al otorgar la licencia para la prestación del servicio de radioaficionado, el Ministerio de Comunicaciones asignará a cada operador un distintivo de llamada, formado por el prefijo HJ para las licencias de Segunda categoría y HK para las licencias de categorías Primera y Avanzadas, seguido por un dígito que indicara la zona a la que pertenece el operador y terminado con dos o tres letras.
