ARTICULO 3.1.1.0.1 . PRINCIPIOS ORIENTADORES. El presente estatuto establece las directrices generales para la actividad aseguradora en Colombia, la cual se encuentra sujeta a supervisión estatal, ejercida por la Superintendencia Bancaria; procura tutelar los derechos de los tomadores, de los asegurados y crear condiciones apropiadas para el desarrollo del mercado asegurador, así como una competencia sana de las instituciones que participan en él.
