Al fin de cada ejercicio social y por lo menos una vez al año, e1 31 de diciembre, las sociedades anónimas deberán cortar sus cuentas y producir el inventario, y el balance general de sus negocios. En el balance se hará una síntesis valorada de todos los bienes que pertenezcan a la sociedad y de todas las deudas, inclusive las que puedan afectar de algún modo su patrimonio, como fianzas, avales, etc.
