Obligación de servicio. Caución. El suboficial que ascienda a oficial, habiendo cursado sus estudios en comisión como tal, tendrá la obligación de servir en la nueva jerarquía un tiempo igual al doble del que hubiere durado en comisión. Cuando se retire a solicitud propia antes de dicho término pagará a la Caja de Sueldos de Retiro de la Policía Nacional, una suma equivalente al cincuenta por ciento (50%) de su sueldo mensual, por cada mes que dejare de servir. Esta suma se hará efectiva en la forma y condiciones señaladas en el artículo anterior.
