Son Suboficiales de Vigilancia los egresados de la Escuela de Formación de Suboficiales de la Policía Nacional, preparados y capacitados con la finalidad principal de colaborar con los Oficiales en la educación, instrucción y mando, así como en la dirección y conducción de los diversos servicios de orden y seguridad en el territorio nacional.
