Seguridad nacional. Es el grado relativo de garantía que ofrece el Estado a sus asociados, para la consecución y mantenimiento de los objetivos nacionales, a partir de la identificación y caracterización de factores de alteración que se manifiestan en sus ámbitos de seguridad interna y externa. Esta, es en esencia, una función política que involucra acciones sociales, económicas y políticas.
