El Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo se vinculará a la Iniciativa Mundial de Turismo y Plásticos, liderada por la Organización Mundial del Turismo y el Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente, con el objetivo de fomentar la sostenibilidad y la protección ambiental de los destinos y atractivos turísticos. Para tal fin, el Ministerio desarrollará y socializará con los actores del sector los lineamientos necesarios para el cumplimiento de los compromisos de la iniciativa a nivel nacional.
