º. La Unidad Municipal de Asistencia Técnica es el ente encargado de prestar asistencia técnica agropecuaria, en forma directa, a los pequeños productores. La Unidad Municipal de Asistencia Técnica puede ser constituida, en forma individual, por cada municipio o distrito, o por asociación de un grupo de ellos

Como parte de su estructura administrativa, con personal profesional y técnico intermedió;

Contratando el funcionamiento y el servicio, que presta la UMATA, con entidades públicas o privadas especializadas y debidamente acreditadas para tal fin.
