Pueden los Jefes y Oficiales de cualquiera graduación servir un puesto inferior á su grado, con renuncia del sueldo mayor, siempre que éste no sea igual al del puesto para que se les nombra; pero en ningún caso podrán ser obligados á prestar ese servicio.
