Los ascensos se harán por la Dirección General de la Policía Nacional e invariablemente por selección entre los candidatos que reúnan las condiciones establecidas por el artículo anterior y será requisito indispensable aprobar el curso o examen correspondiente al grado, que propondrá y calificará la Escuela "General Santander", de conformidad con el pénsum vigente.
