El Decreto 1358 de 1964, con excepción de su artículo 65, entrará en vigencia el 1° de septiembre de 1964, y se aplicará solamente a los procesos que se inicien a partir de tal fecha. Sin embargo, podrá aplicarse también a los procesos en curso cuando fuere más favorable al procesado. Mientras entra a regir el Decreto 1698 de 1964, y se nombran los Procuradores de Distrito, la actuación a ellos confiada por el artículo 17 del Decreto 1358 de 1964 corresponderá a los respectivos Fiscales de Tribunal Superior de Distrito Judicial.
