Desde la misma fecha que expresa el artículo que antecede, los Cónsules de la República en él enumerados gozarán por toda remuneración de sus servicios los sueldos fijos anuales que en seguida se dicen :

1.º Los viáticos correspondientes á estos Consulados serán pagados á razón de $ 500 de ida y $ 500 de regreso.

2.º El Poder Ejecutivo podrá aumentar esta suma si lo cree conveniente ; pero en ningún caso excederán los viáticos de ida y de regreso de los Consulados de Liverpool y Nueva York de $ 2,500 ni de $ 1,200 los de los demás.
