La Dirección del Departamento Administrativo de la Presidencia de la República estará a cargo del Jefe de Gabinete y del Director del Departamento quien ejercerá la representación legal del Departamento, en los términos del artículo 65 de la Ley 489 de 1998 y demás disposiciones que regulan la materia. El Jefe de Gabinete y el Director del Departamento asistirán de manera permanente al Consejo de Ministros y al Consejo Nacional de Política Económica y Social (Conpes).
