El Instituto Nacional de Higiene de Samper-Martínez está obligado a renovar anualmente los sueros que no hayan sido aplicados y cuyo valor biológico se haya debilitado o extinguido, lo que cumplirá por intermedio de los Directores de Higiene Departamentales y de las Intendencias.
