La presente ley tiene por objeto promover la orientación socio-ocupacional y definir sus ámbitos de trabajo para la educación media en todos los establecimientos oficiales y privados de educación formal, como herramienta para brindar a los educandos los elementos suficientes para tomar una decisión adecuada, informada y objetiva sobre su futuro académico y proyección laboral.
