Los Comités Regionales de Educación Superior (CRES), estarán conformados por los Rectores o sus delegados, de las instituciones de Educación Superior debidamente reconocidas como tales. Se reunirán en Comité Regional según la clasificación de regionalización que señale el Instituto Colombiano para el Fomento de la Educación Superior (Icfes). Cada Comité Regional se dará su propio reglamento y forma de funcionamiento.
