El apoderado o consultor que mediante acuerdo con la parte contraria, o que de cualquiera otra manera sea infiel a sus deberes profesionales, comprometiendo la causa que se le confía, o que en un mismo asunto defienda a las partes que tienen intereses contrarios o incompatibles, incurre en prisión de seis meses a cuatro años, interdicción de derechos y funciones públicas, y suspensión en el ejercicio de su profesión por el mismo término.
