La intendencia puede dividirse en secciones para su mejor funcionamiento, asignando a ellas especialmente los distintos ramos, a saber: caja y contabilidad, alimentación, vestuario, alojamiento y construcciones militares. Esta división de los negocios no implica el aumento del personal, pues varias secciones pueden ser servidas por un mismo empleado.
