Para ser Notario en los Círculos de tercera categoría, además de las exigencias generales, se requiere alternativamente
Ser abogado titulado,
No siendo abogado, haber sido Notario por tiempo no inferior a dos años, o haber completado la enseñanza secundaria o normalista y tenido práctica judicial, notarial o registral por espacio de tres años, o tener experiencia judicial, notarial o registral por término no menor de cinco años.
