Ejecutoriada una sentencia que imponga una sanción privativa de la libertad, el juez ordenará que se envíe copia al Ministerio de Justicia para que se señale el establecimiento donde debe cumplir la pena el condenado, de acuerdo con las disposiciones de este código. El gobierno nacional creará cárceles o secciones especiales en los establecimientos carcelarios comunes, para los presos militares.
