Desde la vigencia de la Ley 39 de 1896, á los individuos de tropa licenciados que hubieren permanecido cuatro años en servicio activo continuo, se les dará una gratificación de cincuenta pesos. Si el tiempo de permanencia fuere doble, la gratificación también será doble. Esta gracia se les concederá siempre que durante el período de los cuatro años no hubieren desertado ( La petición conforme al Modelo número 25 )
