Es la separación temporal hasta por sesenta (60) días del ejercicio de funciones y atribuciones que el superior impone a un miembro del Cuerpo de Custodia y Vigilancia Penitenciaria Nacional, de acuerdo con las causales y por el procedimiento establecido en el Reglamento de Régimen Disciplinario o el Régimen de Honor. El período de suspensión queda de acuerdo al artículo 60 del Decreto 2655 de 1973.
