En el panteón de Bogotá se levantará un monumento para guardar las cenizas del señor Gual, las que se traerán de Guayaquil, cumpliendo los deseos manifestados al Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores por la única hija sobreviviente del ilustre prócer, señora María Josefa Gual.
