El territorio dentro del cual ejerce cada Notario sus funciones se denomina Circuito Notarial, y el lugar señalado para el asiento de su oficina, Cabecera de Circuito Notarial. Autorízase al Gobierno para reorganizar los Circuitos de Notaria, creando y suprimiendo los que estime conveniente. Las Cabeceras de Circuito Judicial lo serán de Circuito de Notaría.
