Definiciones. Para efectos de la aplicación del presente decreto se adoptan la siguiente definición: Registro Nacional de Zonas Deforestadas. Instrumento que permite identificar las áreas deforestadas del país, coadyuvar con el desarrollo de las actuaciones de las entidades pertenecientes a las ramas ejecutiva, legislativa y judicial, con el objetivo de monitorear y proteger los bosques y su biodiversidad, para enfrentar la deforestación.
