Las prestaciones sociales consagradas en esta Ley y en otras disposiciones aplicables son irrenunciables con excepción de la Pensión de Invalidez que es inembargable; las demás, así como los sueldos, sólo podrán serlo hasta un 50% siempre que sean en favor de cooperativas o para cubrir pensiones alimenticias que se deban de conformidad con las disposiciones civiles.
