Siempre que un buque registrado fuere apresado por el enemigo o se perdiere o quemare, tendrá el propietario obligación, bajo la pena del artículo anterior, de consignar la patente del buque en la Aduana u oficina del puerto a que pertenecía y en la que fue despachada, dentro del término que se fijará según la distancia de los mares donde haya ocurrido el accidente.
