Art. 3.° El Corregimiento del Caguán tendrá los siguientes límites : desde el nacimiento del río Caguán en la cordillera oriental, aguas abajo por su margen derecha, hasta la desembocadura en el río Caquetá ; éste aguas abajo, por su margen izquierda, hasta la desembocadura del río Tuyadí; de aquí línea recta hacia la desembocadura del rio Mesaya en el río Yarí; éste aguas arriba, por su margen izquierda, hasta su nacimiento en la cordillera oriental ; ésta hacia el Sur, en sus límites con el Huila, hasta el nacimiento con el Caguán, punto de partida.
