° Corresponde a los Gobernadores de los Departamentos, directamente o por conducto de los Alcaldes Municipales, velar por el cumplimiento de las normas establecidas por la Ley 163 de 1959 y el presente Decreto reglamentario, siguiendo las instrucciones que imparta el Consejo de Monumentos Nacionales. Para este efecto los Gobernadores harán uso de sus atribuciones legales e impondrán las sanciones correspondientes.
